• Communications: the content of calls, emails, and text messages with us. Calls with our agents may be recorded for quality, training, and compliance.

• IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring page, and the date and time of your visit.
• Cookies and similar technologies used to run the site and measure how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

3. How we share information

• Insurance carriers you ask us to quote or apply with, to the extent needed to quote, underwrite, issue, and service a policy.
• Service providers that host our website, process form submissions, or provide phone, email, and messaging systems under contract, and only to perform those services for us.
• Legal and regulatory: when required by law, regulation, subpoena, or a state department of insurance, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, under the same protections described here.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.

4. Text messaging (SMS)

You can opt in to text messages from First Benefit in two ways: by checking the consent box on a form on this website, or by giving verbal consent to a licensed agent on a recorded call. Messages are about your quote, application, callbacks, and policy status. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

• Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts.

• Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.
• Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

5. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted connections to this website and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to serve you, to meet insurance record-keeping requirements, and to resolve disputes. Quote requests that do not become a policy are retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized.

7. Your choices

• Phone and email: tell any agent, or email contact@firstbenefitinsurance.com, and we will stop marketing contact.
• Text: reply STOP.
• Access, correction, deletion: email contact@firstbenefitinsurance.com with your request. We will verify your identity before acting on it. Some records must be kept under insurance law.

8. California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and shared, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising), and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Information collected in connection with insurance transactions may also be governed by the California Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act and related federal law, which can limit some requests.

9. Children

This website is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
