Working with us

The basics

What does your help cost?

Nothing. Carriers pay us a commission when a policy is issued. Your premium is the same whether you buy through us or directly from the carrier.

Are you an insurance company?

No. We are an independent agency. We represent multiple carriers and compare them for you. The policy is issued by the carrier.

What happens after I submit the form?

A licensed agent calls you, usually the same business day. One call is enough to compare options and, if you want, apply.

Will I be pressured?

No. You hear your options and the exact monthly cost of each. If none fit, we say so.

What states do you serve?

We are licensed in multiple states. Tell us your state on the form and we will confirm before the call.

Do I need a medical exam for life insurance?

Not for final expense, most whole life, and many term policies. A few health questions on the phone are usually all it takes.

I have health problems. Can I still get coverage?

Almost always. Different carriers rate the same condition differently, and guaranteed issue plans accept everyone in the age range.

How fast can a policy start?

Most final expense and whole life applications are approved on the same call. Coverage begins on the effective date you choose, usually the first draft date.

Can I pay monthly?

Yes. Most carriers offer their best rate when the premium drafts from a checking or savings account.

When can I change my Medicare plan?

Annual Enrollment runs October 15 to December 7. Medicare Advantage members also get January 1 to March 31. Moving, losing coverage, and a few other events open special windows.

Advantage or Supplement?

Advantage plans have low premiums and a network. Supplement plans cost more per month and let you see any doctor that takes Medicare. We walk through both with your doctors and prescriptions in hand.

Do I qualify for a subsidy?

Most households under about 400% of the federal poverty level do, and the cap was expanded in recent years. We estimate yours before quoting.

I missed open enrollment. Can I still get a plan?

If you had a qualifying event in the last 60 days, yes. Otherwise short-term medical can bridge the gap until the next window.
